At Quarq Labs (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how we handle your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we store and secure it, and what rights you have.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Quarq platform, including the web application at quarq.io, associated APIs, third-party integrations, and any other services provided by Quarq Labs (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Service you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your information as described here.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: email address, display name and profile picture, authentication credentials (managed by our auth provider), and OAuth provider information if you sign in via Google, GitHub, or other providers.
Agent configuration: your chosen agent name and personality, selected use cases and preferences, custom personality prompts, and integration configuration settings.
Conversation data: messages you send to and receive from your Quarq agent, timestamps, channel information, and conversation metadata.
Cognitive memory data: structured facts and preferences (semantic), contextual records of past interactions (episodic), and behavioral rules derived from repeated interactions (procedural). This memory is unique to your account and never mixed with another user’s.
Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, features used, error logs, and performance metrics.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Service — process messages, generate responses, build cognitive memory, personalize agent behavior, manage your account.
- To improve the Service — analyze aggregate, anonymized usage patterns; fix bugs; develop new features; conduct research on retrieval quality.
- To communicate with you — service notifications, support, and updates to terms or policies.
- For security and compliance — detect abuse, enforce terms, comply with legal obligations.
4. Data Storage and Security
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ and at rest using AES-256. Each user’s cognitive memory is isolated through database row-level security. Access by Quarq personnel is restricted to authorized staff and audited. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours of discovery.
5. Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform (authentication, database, hosting, AI model inference), to comply with legal requirements, or in the event of a business transfer (e.g., merger or acquisition), in which case you will be notified.
6. Data Retention
Account data is retained for the duration of your account and deleted within 30 days of termination. Conversation data and cognitive memory are deleted upon account termination. Technical logs are retained up to 90 days. Anonymized analytics may be retained for aggregate analysis.
7. Your Rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email support@quarq.io. We will respond within 30 days.
8. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States, European Union, or other jurisdictions. We use standard contractual clauses and other safeguards where applicable.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for individuals under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date, and we may notify you by email where appropriate.
